IT Glue, GlueXperience2025 - Panelist on growth, scaling, and the role documentation plays in technical teams' success.

At the 2025 IT Glue GlueXperience panel, I shared how we transformed operations at Appalachia Technologies by focusing on documentation, empowering our techs, and rebuilding our tool stack with purpose. As TAC Manager, I made the call to pause all new tool purchases for a year so we could focus entirely on SOPs and documentation—an effort that cut our resolution times by over 60%. I talked about my belief that to grow, team members need to be “replaceable to be promotable,” and how giving them ownership over process builds leadership from within. I also shared some honest lessons from managing through COVID, navigating tool failures, and learning to ask, “What do you need from me?” when things weren’t working. My goal was to offer a people-first, operations-focused perspective on how MSPs can scale sustainably—without burning out their teams.

Pennsylvania State Association of Boroughs - AI 101 for Local Government

At the Pennsylvania State Association of Boroughs annual conference, I co-presented a session on artificial intelligence alongside Yoel Alvarez, focused on how small townships and boroughs can adopt AI tools to improve efficiency, reduce administrative overhead, and better serve their communities. We explored real-world use cases, from streamlining documentation to enhancing communication with residents, and emphasized practical, low-barrier ways for local governments to begin leveraging AI today.
