Free Tools
Built in public, free to use
I build small, free, browser-based tools as a way to stay hands-on with AI rather than just writing and speaking about it from a distance. Everything here runs in your browser — no sign-up, no account, and no data ever leaves your device. Feel free to save the page or just the embedded HTML to use these offline.
Doc/Convert
Convert documents between formats directly in your browser — no upload, no server round-trip.
Chunk/Bench
Benchmark text-chunking strategies for RAG pipelines, with retrieval evaluation and Precision@K scoring, fully offline.
Metadata/Intel
Extract and inspect a file's hidden metadata directly in your browser.
Password/Gen
Generate cryptographically sound passwords with a real entropy readout, not just a strength label.
DISC/Assessment
A free DISC personality assessment — see your scores across Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, and Conscientiousness.
A two-way QR code tool: generate a QR code from any link or text, or go the other direction and find out exactly where a QR code leads before you scan it, either through your camera or by uploading an image.
That second part matters more than people think. QR codes have become a real phishing vector — "quishing" attacks hide malicious links behind a code, betting that you won't think to check the destination before scanning, the way you might hover over a suspicious link in an email. This tool lets you decode a code and see the actual URL first, without ever opening it on your phone.
Free Tools FAQ
What free AI tools does Chris Swecker offer?
A set of free, browser-based utilities including a document converter, a RAG chunking benchmark tool, a file metadata viewer, a password generator, and a DISC personality assessment.
Are these tools really free?
Yes. No sign-up, no account, and no payment required for any of them.
Do these tools store or upload my data?
All tools run entirely client-side in the browser, meaning the data you put in stays on your device. A few may need to download additional packages like JavaScript libraries for certain features, but no data is ever collected from you.
