Which AI Model for What
After years of daily use across all three major platforms, here's what I've learned actually works:

Claude - When personality matters
-
Best for: Client-facing writing, blog posts, anything where you need a distinct voice
-
Also excellent for: Code (better than the others), math and numerical reasoning
-
Limitation: Struggles with Word document editing/formatting. If you're working in an existing .docx template, use ChatGPT instead.
ChatGPT - When you need continuity and document work
-
Best for: Editing existing Word documents, ongoing strategic conversations (longer memory)
-
Also good for: Quick answers, maintaining context over weeks
-
Limitation: Writing tends toward corporate/generic. Fine for internal docs, but you'll rewrite client-facing content. Also notoriously unreliable with math and numbers — don't trust it for calculations or numerical analysis.
Gemini - When you need real data
-
Best for: Questions requiring current information ("What's a 4 WAR outfielder worth in free agency?" "What are current cybersecurity compliance requirements?")
-
Also good for: Fact-checking, market research, technical specifications
-
Limitation: Least personality of the three. Great for gathering data, less great for synthesizing it into compelling narrative.
What about everything else?

For specialized tasks:
-
Image generation: Nano Banana Pro (formerly DALL-E 3) is currently the best option
-
Transcription/voice: Most platforms now include decent voice features
